Emily struggles with letting go of people throughout her life, and the ending reveals the extreme length she went to in order to keep Homer with her.  Some people struggle with loss because they are afraid of being alone or moving on. Emily shows this by refusing to let go of Homer and going to an extreme to keep him with her. I have noticed that some people hold onto old relationships or memories because change can be scary. Emily’s story shows how difficult it can be to accept that some things cannot last forever. Today in class we worked on our writeable about the story and watched the story. I learned all about the story and how everything went and that some people cant accept change or move on.

What is the most creative thing you have ever made? Share what it was and explain why it stands out as your best work.

 One of the most creative things I have ever made was a bouquet of hydrangea flowers using pipe cleaners and floral sticks. I made them for a friend that loves hydrangeas and they were white and pink. This stands out as my best work for many different reasons. First off, they took me around 8-10 hours to make, they turned out very pretty, and they were hard to learn how to make and connect to one big bouquet.

3 goals I want to achieve this year

3 main goals that I would like to achieve this year are getting straight A's and good grades, playing golf compettively for school, and make new friends. I want to get straight A's and maintain good grades so that my GPA is sufficient enough to get into a college I would like to go to. Also, I want to play golf for the school so that I can improve more, and meet new people. Finally, I want to meet new people and make new friends this year so I can build more connections, and relationships. I can achieve these goals by studying, staying on top of my work, practicing golf more often, and being an outgoing person and talking to new people.
